Trucker Tom

I've been a trucker for the last ten years but now I am back home at "Camp Chaos" and I will be working at the Fontana terminal as a safety specialist. I hope now that I'm home I'll have a lot more time for blogging!

Dad was home for Thanksgiving, and then off again on Friday.

He has a new student, Rick, and is now on a dedicated run. Which means that he "runs" from Salt Lake City, Utah to Los Angeles and back.

It's great because it gives him enough miles to actually make some money, but it also lets him get home a little more often. Not that he'll get through here at a time when we're all awake.

Right now he's knitting a baby blanket for his brand new Great-Nephew, L@ngdon, or L@ndon. (I'm not sure which spelling it is). I think he's about 1/2 done. Hopefully he'll finish soon so we can send it off in the mail.

You'd think that if all you did was sit in the truck you'd have lots of time to read, knit, or something but you don't. Because when his student is driving he has to either sleep, or observe. And if he's driving, well, he's driving.

Anyways. Now that I've figured out the password maybe I'll be able to update his blog a little more. Maybe I should work on my own too.
